I always make a small copy of my finished drawing and try out various color schemes prior to starting a large painting, and I've had some inquiries from folks who like to collect these color studies, so I'm showing some here. My color studies vary in complexity, toner color (see note below), condition, and degree of finish, and I hope you'll enjoy taking a look! --Scott
*A note about color studies and sepia toner: All of these color studies began as xeroxes of original drawings, and then they were either stretched and painted, or permanently mounted to illustration board or panels. Over the years, I've found that black xerox toner is very stable, but sepia xerox toner, which I liked to experiment with several years ago, can change color over time if exposed to direct sunlight. For that reason, any color studies that were made with sepia toner have been marked and reduced in price.
Regardless of black or sepia toner, I highly recommend that color studies be framed under UV protective glass, and never hung in direct sunlight. ---Scott
